Smeelio I'm a fan of songs that tell stories- not metaphorically, like lyrics that reveal insight into a person, though those are good too. I'm talking literal tales and legends in musical form- it's what drew me to country-western classics such as Marty Robbins. This song tells the great story of a boy becoming a pirate, living the high life, being captured, and finally escaping. Like all good musical stories, the music part is not neglected either, with a catchy chorus and great singing all round.
